Hi,
I am using SEOPress on my website and I got the following notification section/block in my admin pages when I deleted a code block:
We have detected that you have deleted a post (
/scorg/return-category-picture/
).We suggest you to redirect this URL to avoid any SEO issues, and keep an optimal user experience.
If the Scripts Organiser code blocks URLs are visible to search engines should I edit the Robots.txt to exclude /scorg/ ?
Kind regards,
Paul
SCORG is using custom post-type logic. And you need to disable it inside SEO Press.
SCORG doesn’t have any public URL you can see it has no “view” link in quick actions in admin screen so search engines can’t list it.
Thanks for your answers.
I had already checked the URL and was given the 404 page so that was not of concern.
Without knowing how search engines crawl a website I was not sure whether the URL could be found then it would show as a 404 error on Google Search Console which could damage website ranking.
I will make sure that the post types are not indexed in SEO Press.
